Ten best ways to woo her
Ten best ways to woo her
Richard Wiseman, the psychologist professor, claims that British men are the least romantic in the world.
Following a study he conducted of 6,500 men and women all over the world, he found that they are less likely to pay compliments, be inspired to write love poetry or take their loved ones away for surprise holidays than their foreign counterparts, instead believing sexy lingerie and expensive gifts are the way to a woman’s heart.
“Contrary to what many men believe, you do not have to spend large sums of money to woo a woman – it really is the thought that counts,” Prof Wiseman said.
The following are the ten best ways to woo her:
1. Cover her eyes and lead her to a lovely surprise
2. Whisk her away somewhere exciting for the weekend
3. Write a song or poem about her
4. Tell her that she is the most wonderful woman you have ever met
5. Run her a relaxing bath after she has had a bad day at work
6. Send her a romantic text or email, or leave a loving note around the house
7. Wake her up with breakfast in bed
8. Offer her a coat when she is cold
9. Send her a bouquet of flowers, or a box of chocolates at work
10. Make her a compilation of her favourite music
Britain’s most haunted village
Halloween has been ‘cancelled’ in Britain’s most haunted village.
Pluckley residents are fed up of being invaded by hundreds of ghost-hunting revellers, causing vandalism and traffic chaos.
The village is said to have at least 12 spectres, including a highwayman, a phantom monk, the hanging body of a schoolmaster and a poltergeist in the local pub.
In previous years residents of the sedate Kent hamlet have tried to turn the night of expected disturbance into family fun, set up by the parish council’s own Halloween committee.
