A $10,000 scholarship is given away at Scholarship Zone and it is available to eligible students to apply. To qualify for the drawing, you simply need to be a U.S. resident and be 18 years of age or older. Fill out the registration form on their site and you will be entered into the drawing. Registering soon is a great idea as you will not miss the deadline for the drawing.
The Walton Family Foundation also offers more scholarships to eligible students. $1,000 per year for 4 years is the reward from this fellowship. Submit a portfolio of your best essays, non-fiction and poetry to apply.
The National Security Education Program provides up to $20K per academic year. Dependents of associates or associates themeselves can get $3,000. Poetry and non-fiction are other types of writing that you can also send in.
